Just a quick Q about FFX. How do I get coloring to work properly in it? Whenever I have done coloring in Film FX, the colour seems to fade in and out. Also, should I choose both a film stock, and colour thingo? or just go with one or the other?

I'm pretty new to all this, but am willing to learn.

Are you talking about a specific application?

Yes. Film FX. The plug-in for Adobe Affects.

The colur shouldn't just fade in and out.

If you are using one of the presets you should normally choose load the colour preset first, and then the film stock preset. Both are held in the same file but need to be loaded individually from either the colour or the filmstock filter.

You don't have to have both though. The filmstock filter is only for adding grain and other film effects such as damage etc.

When you say the colouring just fades in and out, could you elaborate a bit?

If you adjust the colors of the footage at any location other than the start frame, and you have keyframing enabled, that could be the problem. (ie. It may be recording the settings for different points in time on the footage.)
