Anyone here like to share their story in selecting a projector, either for editing-related purposes or for presentation? What made you choose the one you got? Also, when using a portable projector, how does one deal with the audio? What speakers are we talking about, or is something else used? Is there also a way to have a portable (large) screen with quick setup? Any recommended projectors would be appreciated, especially given the ongoing debate over formats.

I'm not certain I'd ever use a projector for editing purposes.
I'm waiting for the BenQ 8250 to become available before I purchase my first projector. HD, digital input, lots of power, everything but 16x9 aspect ratio.
I purchased a small guitar amp/speaker that also has a microphone input setting so I can feed it from my portable DVD player or from the projector when I get it. It is a Roland MicroCube and it will play to small to medium conference rooms. For big events, I have a 500 watt PA system.
Lots of portable and large screens available. They just cost money ($600 or so). A tube sits on the floor and you pull the screen up out of them. They are supported by a sissors arangement in the rear. Up to 100 inch diagonal I believe.
BTW, 16x9 ratio in a quality projector is very expensive and so far, they have low brightness as they are mainly targeted at the home entertainment market.
