Hello. I'm new to video and new to this forum. I have a Sony VX2000. I did a shoot today and realized that the actual recorded picture area (frame) is significantly larger than the visible picture area (as seen through both the viewfinder and the lcd screen). I couldn't find anything in the manual so I'm not sure if it's a setting issue, or if it's part of the camera's functionality.

I'd appreciate any info from people who use or have used this camera.

thanks!

Welcome Lisa! See my comments about the VX-2000 in another currently active thread, I think they will answer your question. http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31501

Lisa, it is, unfortunately, the way the beast is designed.

Welcome aboard.
