View Full Version : Burning a Movie DVD

I built a movie DVD in Adobe encore, which I have installed on my laptop. I can burn from Encore directly to DVD fine, except that I can only burn DVD+R/RW, although my DVD burner is DVD+/-RW. The only thing odd about this setup is that the DVD burner is connected via firewire to my laptop.

1. Does anyone know why this problem is happening.

2. I put my DVD burner in my server and it burns DVD-R/RW fine, but Encore is not installed on my server (which runs Win 2000). I tried Building an image from encore and use nero to burn it on the DVD but that doesn't produce a readable DVD. It just burns a file on the DVD.

Does any one have any ideas on how to circumvent this problem?

your help is greatly appreciate it.

thanks

"I tried Building an image from encore and use nero to burn it on the DVD but that doesn't produce a readable DVD. It just burns a file on the DVD."

In NERO go to "File" and then choose "Burn Image". In the window that pops up, browse and click on your image file.

Important: If NERO does'nt recognise the the image file, "choose all files", then it will see it.

Burn and be happy :)
