Jeremy Krakowski October 5th, 2004, 03:16 PM AWESOME!!! THE song is cool too. :D But the video is awesomely done. :D:D::D I tell you, those DVX100A's are like nearly indistinquishable from film!!! I while it's had alot of editing and color correction applied, you jsut can't get this type of look and Depth of field with hardly anything BUT the DVX100A (XL2, im sure, but aside from that....NOTHING as filmic as the DVX100A!!! DANG!!! I NEED ONE!!! George Su October 5th, 2004, 07:41 PM thanks for the comments everyone! i'm sure the band would be happy to give permission to use the song in movies. they're very film-friendly. jeremy, i agree that the Pansonic camera looks pretty great. For this video, i used the 100, NOT the 100A. there was actually very little color correction on this video. just a couple shots of the girl that were used in places i didn't intend on, so we did a little matching. overall, what you see was all in camera (except for the light flares and the blow-outs at the and were after-effects). the depth of field was not the camera, but an optical trick... However, if you export something like this for the web I would crop the black bars. They are wasting bandwidth and compression (which is important in web delivery). They need to be encoded and thus costs bits without adding much if anything. If you crop the bars there is less vertical resolution to encode so your files can be smaller or you can use less compression than you are doing now for the same file size (and thus get a slightly better quality). Now this won't be massive savings in bandwidth or quality, but every bit helps in my mind. |
