How about adding a DIY forum in this category. It seems there's quite a few DIY idea's out there, it would be nice to coral them all up in one place for the adventurous (read poor) filmmaking DIYers out there.
Just a thought.

What kind of DIY projects are you talking about? Most of the DIY threads get sorted into the forums that they apply to, like DIY light kits go in the lighting forum, DIY mini35's go in the Alternate Imaging forum, etc...

If we have enough existing threads on a topic, they could get their own forum. But the discussions have to be there first (we don't start empty forums, we start full ones). Just look at Alternative Imaging Methods, man that one really took off!

Maybe we could have a forum devoted to suggesting other forums.

A separate forum would make it easier to do searches.
I suppose if you include "DIY" in the subject line or something similar that would work too. Most times that's not included.
I find some of the engineering ideas out there quite interesting and I'm sure I miss quite a few of them because they roll off the "New Post" radar.
Just some random thoughts.
