Could someone tell me how to or what to do, in order to get rid some of the strooby look I captured and get a smooth motion look while shooting in frame mode with xl1s. I

If you want smooth looking video, then don't use frame mode!
What effect did you expect to get?

Emmanuel, here on the forum is a movie filmed with the xl1s in Frame Mode. (there are a lot I believe, but this one is pretty recent) it is called 'At Confession'.

Go to DV for the Masses, here on the boards, look if you can find it, folow the link and look at it once.
I don't really see a strobing effect in it, but I've heard you can get blurry video if you pan very quickly in Frame Mode.
Look at the short movie, and look if your Frame Mode is different, I mean if yours looks very different or so.

To Mathieu, many thanks for your deep concern on the issue. I viewed the movie it was great really professional. I guess I'm simply panning too fast and my shutter speed needed to be readjusted to a more appropriate speed.

I'll keep practising untill I get it right.

In case you haven't done so, turn off image stabilization when using a tripod.

Emmanuel, I am finally able to shoot with my XL1S, and I have to say: in the beginning when I looked through the viewfinder, it was very strooby look (like you call it :-)). Then I tweaked a little bit, I think resetting the aperture, what also had an effect on the shutter speed, and now it isn't so strooby anymore. So there should be a way to do it.
Don't know or it helps but...

PS: I also read somewhere that although you can see that strooby look in the viewfinder, it doesn't appear on a television screen...
