Has anyone who uses iMovie HD (Version 6.0.x) tried installing the app on Snow Leopard? I wonder if it's going to work since Apple stopped supporting this still widely-used app with any update a long time ago.

It instals and runs OK. I don't use it that much, so I can't guarantee everything works, but I haven't seen anything that suggests it won't

Thanks, Nick. Good to hear that. I'll give it a shot and see how far it stays OK. Just one more question, how did you install Snow Leopard? Clean install with iMovie HD being re-installed on it or a simple upgrade of the OS with everything remaining on the disk?

I did a clean install. My iMac hasn't had a clear-out for over 2 years, and I've installed/uninstalled a fair amount of stuff.
I backed up my entire hard disk to an external drive using Carbon Copy Cloner. Then installed SL (you have to look for the erase and install option. Insert the disk, start the install and, when he Mac reboots, choose Utilities from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Use Disk Utility to erase your hard disk, and then SL can install over it).
During the install, SL gives you the option to restore user accounts, data and applications from your backup, which is what I did.

It's clear now. Thanks again, Nick.
