Thanks Rob Lohman November 16th, 2004, 04:39 AM If you also have a PC it is possible, however if you only have a Mac I can't help you in that regard. On a PC the NLE Sony Vegas can do it for example. David Hurdon November 16th, 2004, 06:40 AM I'm also PC-only, but wonder if Quick Time Pro wouldn't do it. David Hurdon Jonathan Lutz November 16th, 2004, 09:58 AM Thanks. I've got QT Pro. Unfortunately, it won't recognize wmv files. So Vegas is the only answer... I was hoping there'd be something like DivXWMAConverter or Music Man (both audio only and for Mac) or even Audio Hijack (is there a Video Hijack?) for video. Rob Lohman November 16th, 2004, 10:00 AM Jonathan: there may be many more answers, but I don't know of any, especially on the Mac platform. Jonathan Lutz November 16th, 2004, 10:08 AM Thanks. I'll update this thread if I do find a solution that works. There are several programs for the pc that will do it. Most are only a modest 20-30 dollar fee. I downloaded one the other day called MPEG converter but it can do WMV to AVI. Once you have an AVI file, it can be brought straight into FCP. -gb- Jack Barker October 8th, 2005, 10:00 PM I have flip4mac installed, but have only used it to watch wmv downloads in QuickTime and it works seamlessly. I think you need the "Pro" version ($49) to open and edit in FCP. |
