I know of a lot of people doing that without any problems. I myself have done it lots of times with an XL1S. A lot of people seem really fond of a program called "DV Rack" that allows you to monitor and record the signal: http://www.seriousmagic.com/dvrack.cfm Ryan Gohlinghorst November 17th, 2004, 10:47 AM DV Rack is really slick. I think it's a great program for the price. Barry Green November 17th, 2004, 03:33 PM DV Rack is superb, especially with the $200 rebate being offered right now. Neil Kissoon November 19th, 2004, 12:39 PM Thanks Fellas for the advice, I guess I need a good program, Do I need a special video card or anything? Barry Green November 19th, 2004, 05:12 PM If you're using DV Rack, you need nothing else other than a firewire port. (make sure your laptop fits the minimum specifications of course). |
