It's actually my brother's wedding. A small simple wedding lunch in a small Chinese village in Szechuan. Very very nice people.

Hi Taky,

Congratulations to your brother and his wife! This video is really sweet - I like the soft look, and the emotions you captured.

Thanks Bill.

That a small village. Simple life and not rich. It was one year after the earthquake so there're still rubbles everywhere.

Food was great... very spicy. One of the dishes looks like fish filet. I found out it was actually roaster's crown... I didn't touch it =)

Congrats to your brother. He is lucky to have a talented family member to capture these special moments. This is the essence of what a good wedding should be...family, friends, food. Everything else is background. My favorite weddings have always been the intimate ones where I get to know the guests and couple better. Looks like this was one of those weddings. Too bad you had to 'work' during some of that time.

What gear did you wind up bringing with you?

I was wanting to bring the XH-A1 but worrying about transportation and safety. I ended up just have a Canon HV30 on tripod and merlin.
