I own a PAL Canon HFS100 and shoot in the PF25 mode.
As I understand it, this mode records 25p, but puts it in a 50i stream for playback on TVs.

What would be the best NeoScene Frame Rate settings to get true 25p?
Should I use Deinterlace or Convert to 24p?
Or does this camera actually produce true 25p images, so I should be using Maintain Source Frame Rate?

Thanks in advance!

Two options, deinterlace (not ideal but works) or set nothing and interpret footage in your NLE to progressive.

Thanks for your reply, Dave!
I think I'll go with the "Maintain Source Frame Rate" option.

So, "Convert to 24p" is a no-no for PAL footage? I know that the actual software says "NTSC Only" next to the check-box; but the manual says that this option can also be used on PAL footage.

Quote from NeoScene manual:
"With Convert to 24p selected, Neo Scene will extract 24p from your source (25p for PAL
users) to produce true progressive files..."

Is this a misprint?
