This is my first attempt at compositing. I was trying to see if the D90 can hold up to multiple passes at compositing. I used a lossless codec by Lagarith. best of all it is free and fast.

I compressed it to wmv codec then uploaded to youtube.

I know it could be alot better but this was just a test...

Here's one we did for the 2007 48-hour film competition in Honolulu, using After Effects and some stock smoke & debris.

Didn't have much time to get it done. 11 hours from shoot to delivery. Would have been better to create custom, practical flame and other elements, then composite those into the scene.
