Hi,

Has anyone seen a standalone DVD player that supports
WMV HD ? I tried searching the DVD player list at
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

I'm primarily interested in writing data DVDs with
HD WMV files for better slide shows. Soon enough, we'll have
video at this resolution, but until then, the only content I have
is from my digital camera.

Thanks

Thanks. Yeah, I saw this player before. It has the basics, but it falls short on max photo resolution. I'm hoping to display 3000x2000 photos (downsized, of course by the DVD player) straight from my camera flash card without having to take the time to reduce them on my computer. Also, if you see any players with this support by larger manufactureres, please post. I would really like to try out this unit at a store.

Are you saying you want the box to downsample a 6MP picture on the fly to display at HD resolution by setting your camera to act like a USB mass storage device? What specs are you looking for exactly? You said just the WMV HD part, but then wanted the picture thing...

They claim to have a WMV9 set top player coming out in the Bravo series by the end of the year.

That company has been saying they'd have a WM9 player since January. I'll believe it when I see it...meanwhile the Avel player is (I think) already shipping.
