I may have some extra xeon 3.0gig 800Mhz fsb chips that I am looking for a dual motherboard to put into an XT chassis.
Any suggestions on a brand?

Get yourself an Iwill DK8N. Lots of RAID options with 2 different SATA controllers. PCI-X slots. Firewire. Gigabit Ethernet.

I'd suggest something from the following list, or maybe one of the latest Intel motherboards.

Well if you must go Xeon then one of the SuperMicro X6D* series motherboards would be a good choice. Or a Tyan S2676 board.

Don't forget that these boards are larger than normal and will require a case for Extended ATX boards. And a power supply to match.
