Hi,

im pretty new to dvd authoring, encoding and stuff like that, so hopefully someone can help me on the following thing:

I'd like to check out the quality of the raw hdv footage from the Sony FX-1 (you can get them here: http://www.vasst.com/HDV/FX-1_images.htm) on my 4:3 tv box. Is there any Software you recommend for doing that ? Do i have to get special hd codecs to get the software working with m2t footage ?

In terms of quality i want the best i can get (on crappy 4:3 standard tv set ;) so it should only be (re)encoded once or twice.

I own a copy of Nero 6 Burning Rom dunno if it's suitable for thinks like that ;)

Thx

John

John: you can't view "raw HDV footage" on a standard-definition television set, so you'd have to convert the M2T to MPEG2 and put that on a DVD like you normally would. If your goal is to get a sense of what the unaltered footage looks like, you need to view it on your computer screen rather than your TV set.
