I haven't used my AG-DVC30 in awhile and just tried to playback a tape in it. The tape played with several evenly spaced black bars on the LCD and no audio. I changed tapes to see if thise was common on all tapes i have and I tried a different one. This one didn't play at all, I pressed play and this one just stayed on the blue screen the whole time. I tired recording new footage but when I went to play it back, it didn;t show the video.

I only use panasonic tapes, and the camera has been sitting in the bag for a few weeks. Please, anybody who knows or has experienced this problem, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Step one is to run a head cleaning cassette for about five seconds or so. That should help you.
