In The Netherlands the Z1 will not be available before March the 1st which is tomorow. Probably it will take some days before it will reach the stores. I am not against the z1 at all !!!! In the contrary. I was waiting for a true 16:9 cam wich the fx1/z1 is (actually I was not waiting for HDV). This was the only reason for not buying a PD170p which is/was the best cam around especially in low light condition (but unfortunately had no true 16:9). So I will convince myself if the z1 will fulfill my needs. Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle between the believers and non believers of the z1. I am a real fan of Sony products since they are very well constructed and innovative.
