Craig Yates October 11th, 2009, 06:15 PM Well, I'm finally done! Still very disappointed with the audio, but I guess time constraints are something we all have to deal with. Jeremy Doyle October 11th, 2009, 09:31 PM Done and uploaded. Now it's time to get to work on the subchallenge. Mike Horrigan October 11th, 2009, 10:26 PM Ended up going with a full short film. I'll post a link here on Halloween though. It's all shot, just editing now. Also moving this week so I'm pretty busy. Good luck to those who entered! Mike Keith Heyward October 11th, 2009, 10:26 PM Its uploading now. I'm tired. Andris Krastins October 11th, 2009, 10:55 PM Ended up going with a full short film. I'll post a link here on Halloween though. Same here! Still have to shoot a few scenes though. Lorinda Norton October 12th, 2009, 12:47 AM Whew! I'd like to have tweaked a little more but wanted to get mine uploaded. Fifteen minutes to spare! If anyone is having trouble and needs to beg for more time ;) shoot me an email. So far YouTube is really speedy tonight, though, so you should be okay if you upload there. Andris Krastins October 12th, 2009, 01:18 AM I would have loved to tweak it a bit more too, but it's too late for that now. :] My pc monitors at home are quite bright. Now checking the trailer at work, and in some places it's too dark. But at least I know it now, before I've begun to edit together the short. Lorinda Norton October 12th, 2009, 01:29 AM I just noticed the same thing on mine, and I know better, yet it seems like they get darker every time. So I just uploaded to Vimeo in hopes that some of the scenes won't be ruined like they are on YouTube. My editing monitor is calibrated, or so I thought, but it does seem lots brighter than others. Andris Krastins October 12th, 2009, 01:50 AM My editing monitor is calibrated, or so I thought, but it does seem lots brighter than others. Exactly the same here! I'll re-render it again a bit brighter and upload it to Vimeo, but not as a DVC17 entry. Daniel Bates October 12th, 2009, 06:55 AM So the judging begins soon, right? I want to see the other videos already! Jeez, I'm an impatient one, aren't I? Craig Bellaire October 12th, 2009, 07:25 AM I believe Iraq is a 4 day delay from the USA time... truth be told you had 4 extra days to finish... OK Not really... I would love to see these as well and see how mine stacks up against everyone else. As of NOW no wall of shame for me... 3 times maybe a winner... Mario Vermunt October 13th, 2009, 10:48 AM NOOO, this can't be the deadline already. I haven't even started yet. Working on three corporate video's at the moment so a huge lack of time. I really thought I had until October 22. I hope this will not disqualify me for the next challenge. Lorinda Norton October 13th, 2009, 11:09 AM Good thing you hadn't started yet! :) We'll have another challenge in a couple months or so--maybe in December. Watch for it and try again, Mario! Marc Burleigh October 16th, 2009, 03:04 PM Well, I smacked into that Wall of Shame again with the full splat SFX of a mosquito playing chicken with 007's Aston Martin. Back from a wonderful trip around France and to Turkey which, despite initial expectations that I might squeeze in a 48-hour editing period on a rainy day, proved to be so blindingly sunny and great that the last thing I wanted to do was return to my computer screen. In any case, some of the hotels had no Internet, and those that did had put limits on uploading to stop peer-to-peer sharing. So any opus would have needed a slog to a web café and the beach was frankly more tempting. Thems me excuses. But I will try again on the next one (December?). |
