Hi there
After trying to play a clip from the NanoFlash
It diplayed that message error: "DMA RD:003" and "Aborting Playback"
Its probably because there was a QT clip ans MXF clip on the same CF card
But I've format the CF card twice before recording those clip
weird

Hi Francis-
You definitely do not want to mix QT and MXF on the same CF card, if you want reliable playback out of the nanoFlash. If you are just importing into the PC/MAC, then mixing formats is OK. The same rule holds for mixing 720p, 1080i, 1080p footage on the same card.
In a future firmware release, we may be able to lift this restriction.

Dear Francis,
When we playback clips, we instantly advance from one sub-clip to another so that playback is seamless.
This works great, as long as the clips are the same type.
But, if they are different, then our system will glitch, as we have to adjust to the new format of the next clip.
But, if you just want to playback one clip, use the Play Menu and you can select the clip that you want to play.

So, somewhat OT here, that implies to me that if only copying files from Nano rather than playing back clips in succession, there should be no issue with mixing 720p/1080i/1080p or QT/MXF on the same card.

Dear Ned,
Yes, that is correct.
And one can playback correctly, any file on the nanoFlash.
If the next file is in a different format/mode/etc., then there will be a glitch.

Thanks. It was not totally clear in the documentation which noted that frame sizes and rates should not be mixed on the same card. Perhaps that could be clarified in future revs of the documentation. This will certainly make my testing a lot easier!

Dear Ned,
We are working on an update to our nanoFlash FAQ's.
It should not be too long.
