I'm brand spakin' new to this field and basically started to make independent movies that I write, direct, shoot, and so forth. Well, word got out and now people are asking me to do wedding videos, instructional training videos, and etc...

What the heck would I charge someone for this sort of stuff? Is there a good website with a pricing chart as an example or something?

I really appreciate the help. Doing wedding videos or training videos isn't really what I want to do, but hey, if I can bring in some extra cash to fund my films, then hey! that's awesome!

The best place to begin your marketing research, is in your own market. The phone book for example is a great place to start. The web of course, if you narrow your search parameters to your zip code.

In other words. "What do the people in your neck of the woods charge for similar services?" Business 101.

Someone on the other side of the nation , in a market larger or smaller than yours might have a different rate.

cool. That's a good idea. I'll also find out who my competition is then. :o)

Adam, do a search in the business forum here. We've hit this topic several times before and you should find some good reading.
