Sony will beam smell sensation into brain with ultrasound. 3D with smell is coming. Panasonic announced 3D HD. Sony is patenting the smell part.

HAHAHA! That's good!
I remember reading about technology like this many years ago, when the web was young. They were touting the arrival of web site's where you could "smell" the products like food or perfume, it never materialized though.

Rhett, I remember that too. They said that with like 15 chemicals they could reproduce like 90% of all smells. Remember that? They said you could buy new cartridges when they ran out. So many dumb things back in the heyday of the Web..

The Russians developed "Smellovision" in the 1950s, to add scents that accompanied movies in a few Moscow theatres. One trouble was, that the patrons all had such bad B.O., that no one could detect the artificial odors very well.
