I'm looking to buy some balanced XLR cables to use with a boom shotgun mic which is connected directly to my Sony PDX10. I'm considering picking up two of these:

No name brand cable (it seems, as they call it OEM), which use NEUTRIK brand connectors.

I know Neutrik are some of the better connectors on the market, but I worry about the no name brand given cabling, as especially with a boom mic cabling is quite important.

What type (company name?) of balanced XLR cabling is usually used in combination with boom mics? (Is there a company known for its "Cable Quality"?)

Canare.

StarQuad is probably their best. Trew audio carries a brand called "Remote Audio" and all of their cables are made with StarQuad and Neutrik connectors.

If you can afford it -- not like they aren't very
reasonable in price -- get your cables from
Trew Audio. No worries.
