Edward Troxel May 4th, 2005, 07:23 AM As long as you're adjusting audio, it's fine to turn off "quantize to frames". Whenever you start adjusting video, make sure you TURN IT BACK ON! Bartek Bury May 4th, 2005, 11:03 AM what does "quantize to frames" actually do? Edward Troxel May 4th, 2005, 11:14 AM It makes sure your video frame starts on a frame boundry. If you don't you can get some really strange results when playing back on a TV. Patrick King May 4th, 2005, 12:34 PM Edward, Isn't there a script for Vegas called TapTempo? I seem to remember it was to establish what the tempo was on an audio clip so that cuts and other things could be automatically sync'd. Edward Troxel May 4th, 2005, 03:29 PM I vaguely recall something of that nature. Doing some quick research turned up this: http://www.rmtools.se/tools.php Dennis Vogel May 11th, 2005, 08:35 PM http://www.rmtools.se/tools.php Woulda been nice but on this page the free tools have this caption before them: Sorry, downloads for these are not available right now. Good luck. Dennis Edward Troxel May 11th, 2005, 08:57 PM Woulda been nice but on this page the free tools have this caption before them: Sorry, downloads for these are not available right now. Hmmm.... that's new. Dennis Vogel May 11th, 2005, 09:18 PM I just sent an email to the Contact address shown on the page. If I hear anything, I'll post here. Good luck. Dennis Jim Montgomery May 12th, 2005, 01:18 AM If you have access to ACIDPro it comes with a Beatmapper utility. Import a long piece of music, Beatmapper wizard guides you through the process. Once done you can set the beats per minute so that a measure falls on a frame boundry. For example 96 bpm is equal to 00:00:02:15 Good luck Peter Jefferson May 13th, 2005, 08:39 AM easy snapping = start your clip and hit M for each beat you hear until youre sick of it..... now V5 will lock the cursor/clip to those markers simple hey? highlight all those markers when ur done, and "remove all markers in region" |
