And everyone bitches at MS for being unsecure. If you have the whole world trying to exploit your code, mistakes will ALWAYS be found. I don't get all the MS bashers....

If linux was as popular as Windows, it would be just as unsecure.

What you say about MS products being targets is true. They are a big target.

However, MS products are also very old and bloated. Ask a programmer friend what they think of IE code. MS squeezes every last year out of every one of their products until they get so creaky and full of holes that users start screaming. Only when it really impacts their market do they push out the next core level iteration.

I don't bash MS products that accomplish their primary purposes. Word, for example, is a good Word Processor. But when it tries to do stuff like write web code, it's terrible and causes more trouble than it is worth.

From what I understand, Firefox has the advantage of being open source so errors are caught and handled quicker because everything is out into the open.
