I'm trying to place a QT.mov file up on the web in the best quality possible.
The only guidelines I've been given are 'under 15MB). The clip is 1.5 minutes long.
For the biggest & best possible, how do I set the Quicktime Export:
1) Compression settings
2) Quality
3) Dimensions (Width & Height)
4) Sound Settings
5) And do I set anything in the 'Prepare for Internet Streaming' box

Thanks for the help. I've been coming up with teensy viewing areas that are still more than 15MB, yet I see movie websites with 2 minute clips that are big and only 3MB.

Scott, I went down the same road, searched, asked and read, tried a variety of apps from QTPro to Procoder Express and never found a solution. To my knowledge only the Sorenson Pro codec (in Squeeze for example) comes close to making decent quality at acceptable file sizes, and it is expensive for those who don't make a living that involves using it. I would love to be contradicted on this, but it hasn't happened yet - in three years or more.

Couple of thing that I think, might help.

Smaller frame rates at higher quality can look better.

Try this:
Sorensen 3
14.99 fps (works better than 15 on 29.97)
millions+
your choice of size

Key frame 15 frames

Data limit for 320x240 150kb
Higher limit for larger sizes.

Sound:

Qdesign music 2 44100 stereo.
