Exploding White House in Independence Day look pretty damn real too. Its amazing what you can do with a PC now...

Yes, PC's are amazing; but the White House "explosion" was REAL...... (although it WAS a miniature model.) Amazing what they can do in Hollywood these days.

That was about the only thing that looked real from that movie anyway. Most digital effects in movies are not all that believable to me.

have you seen the new Battlestar Galactica? it's crazy, and outdoor shots were done right here in Vancouver! but seriously, the VFX in this movie is beyond excellent!
