We've recently installed FCP5 and can't seem to figure out how to import .m2t files. I assume that capturing won't be a problem from any of the HDV cameras or decks. We have aquired some stock footage in HDV with the
codec of .m2t.
Help Please.
Thanks
Bob

I don't have FCP 5 yet, but I think you should try MPEG Streamclip to demux the m2t to .m2v (video) and .aiff (sound) and import these seperately.
MPEG Streamclip is here: http://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html

I too want to convert some archived m2t footage from a GR-HD1 into a format that FCP5 will like. I think doing the intermediate step to M2V will probably create the dropped frame QT bug - or has that been fixed in QT7?? Anyhow, I will experiment on my end too and post back if I figure a method that works.
