I'm thinking about producing some kind of powerplate for the mini35.
This powerplate would be some kind of a NP slot with the possibillity to connect the mini35, a b/w viewfinder, your camera and a focuspuller monitor with it. You no more need four different rechargeable batterys for your mini35 rig.
Any comments, suggestions or other statements to this idea?

Isn't mini 35 powered from camera? Is P+S ever going to introduce popular priced model? Is P+S image quality significantly better than Micro 35 and Gurilla 35?

Dietmar:
I'm putting the finishing touches on my version of the badly-needed box you described (although mine sandwiches between two Anton Bauer gold mounts). Mine also incorporates a video DA to allow for distribution of the image to an onboard, transmitter, out to a production monitor etc. I'll have pictures of the setup shortly.
However, P+S demoed their own version of this at NAB. It's not in production yet, but it looks good. It won't be cheap, but as usual it depends on how much of a pricetag one puts on one's own time (given a choice, I would have just bought their setup rather than all the hours invested plus the engineering and machining costs).

Charles, I know that p+s is working on some kind of powerplate. But I think there are always some problems that I would have solved an other way. It would be interesting how you designed your powerplate. Which connectors did you choose? Some BNC, 3pin RS, vf-connector, Anton Bauer mounts?
I also thought about a possibility of using the powerful v-mount rechargeable batterys.

Are there links to power plates so I understand better what is discussed?
Isn't best to have 35 mm adapter powerted from camera battery? Are there battery packs available to power adapter separately?

I found this link: http://rafcamera.com/mca/support/bridge_plate.htm - this is a usual bridge plate.
As I wrote, I think about using v-mount or NP1 recharcheable batteries.
