just wandering if anyone would know how to get ahold of sony or any other company to buy tapes directly from them at wholesale cost or student price or something???

You can get Sony "Premium" tapes off of eBay and maybe some other places for about $3/a piece. I can't imagine getting them at a much better price than that.

I also wouldn't think companies give student prices on consumable materials such as tapes.

yah i thought there might be a chance since kodak gives student discounts on movie film.
