Hey All, I posted this on the Canon HV20/30 board but didn't get an answer, so I'm posting here. Sorry for the double post.

I just captured a few tapes shot on a canon HV30 with my HV20 and there are no stop/start breaks, the entire tape captured as one long clip. I double checked and FCP is set to create new clips on start/stop breaks and the FX1 HDV footage captured on the HV20 the day before does create new clips on start/stop.
