I saw this on a production board in Atlanta. Has anyone else seen it in other markets?

I just read about this in DV Magazine; anyone worked with these guys/checked it out yet?

Hello,

I have not worked with current, but i do have it on my cable.. At first I was skeptical of it.. But watched it for a while, and I now think it is quite interesting.. I do not think there is anything else like it on TV.. it is kinda of a forum for anyone who has video skills to express themselves..Most of the videos (or pods as they call them) are short maybe 2 minutes to maybe 8 minutes long and are shot ov mini dv.. and cover a wide variety of subject matters, some artistic, political, educational, international and some just fun..For the most part it seems like a lot of younger artist are the contributors.. I think it an interesting and compelling new way for video creators like us to express ourselves..
if you do not have it, i think you can watch some of the "pods' on the internet ar www.current.tv

This is definitely legit. It came out of Al Gore's lockbox. We'll see if they can survive and make money in this interesting model in acquiring content.

I'd be interested, too, if anyone has sold any packages to them.

I have a "non-fiction" idea that I've been sitting on, trying to come up with an outlet for the finished product. This might be the right place for it.

If we end up pursuing this I'll post what happens.
