I am considering the purchase of an Xl1s. I already own a XL1 and have been very happy with the results that it has provided and would like to know if XL1s owners truly think the upgrade is worth the $$$. I have followed this group and others and read archives but sometimes folks talk more about problems than the fact that a piece of equipment works great. I would appreciate any input from those with experience with both cameras.

Hi Richard,

I can't address your question of whether the "S" is worth the upgrade price because I have never used an XL1 or GL1. I can say that after using the XL1S for about a month, I think it is an excellent camera. It has worked flawlessly and I have had no problems capturing or editing with my RT2500/Premiere 6.0 NLE.

As I said, this does not answer your question, but is simply one comment from a happy XL1S user.
