Hi
I have a potential buyer for my DVC80 but he is in the middle of a project shot on a Panny GS400 & wants to know how to set the DVC80 to best approximate the look of the old cam which died on him due to water damage.

He is shooting a live theater performance running at the moment, trying to imitate a multi-cam shoot by using one cam in different spots at several performances & cut together with interview footage already "in the can". There aren't enough shows left to start again even if he wanted to.

Anyone familiar enough with the specs on these cams to offer advice? I had a GS200(virtually the same as the GS400 but with no zoom ring,I believe) & feel the video images, all other things being equal, were not far off but I'm wondering if there are some scene file setting tweaks or other controls on the DVC80 he might use to get even closer.

I always shot with DVRack so matching footage/settings for the same cam but at different times during a shoot was easy. Without that option, is the best advice to use the video quality monitors on his NLE to analyze the original footage & tweak the new stuff in post?

thx for any thoughts.
