Hi Guys,
Thought I'd share this recent clip with you all.
This wedding is actually from April 08. Long story short the couple were after a few changes to their extended highlights (~ 25 minutes) and due to personal circumstances their project was left open this long. Not something I would normally do but I was really happy I could help them out.
Anyway - during the re-edit I realised some of the great footage I had and had a 'lightening bolt' moment & really felt like I could do it more justice putting together a shorter, tighter version.
Their first dance was the "Time of my life" routine from Dirty Dancing - they did a full rehearsal on the beach prior to the reception and then pulled it off amazingly later in the night (lift included!). I thought it was a great opportunity to combine the two. Anyone who's checked out my site will no doubt recognise some of the footage which I still think holds up pretty well.
There's no flashy camera moves, no shallow DoF shots and way more slo-mo that I would use these days but I still think it works. Normal speed, particularly the combination of this track & the dance footage just didn't look right.
Any comments appreciated. Thanks for watching!
