Hi David,

Nice to see another cheesehead!

The footage could use a bump in the contrast to widen the dynamic range. Some shots are a little muddy. They tell the story very well though.

To give an idea the difference between the 'out of the box' image quality vs. what you can do with some contrast and gamma adjustment below is a before and after:

That was shot with an HV30 and a static 35mm lens adapter

Adding some 'punch' can make a big difference. Just make sure you're doing the adjustments on a monitor that has been calibrated correctly.

The Canon HVs are capable of great footage,personaly i find my cam is best not overcranking the colour, here is some HV30footage not mine that i found and like a lot.
