Hey guys I have a powerbook and Z1U. I also have final cut 4.5. Old verison no good at capturing Z1 HD. Are there any solutions to this that don't require money.

I herd I can capture with DVHScap and then maybe convert into something FC 4.5 will like. Anyone know how?

also whats a good player for .mt2 files on mac?

VLC can play transport streams
MPEG streamclip will convert .m2t files to Quicktime for editing in FCP.
You should search this forum for information on both of these programs.
