Can I use my laptop as a monitor when filming live with my GY HM100?
surely its possible, right?
connected at the moment with a HDMI but have a feeling laptops HDMI is only output. laptop wont even see the cam ATM.

That is incorrect - the laptop HDMI port is a monitor port, not a capture device.

You need something like the matrox MXO2 mini
