Hi All.... I have some footage shot on FX1.. I want to convert it from 1440x1080 to 720p.. If i render from the timeline in vegas to a main concept MP4 what would be the best way to go about this ?

In deinterlace method (under project properties) there is blend, interpolate and none as the options.. Should i select none ?

IN the past when i have used SD footage i have often used interpolate as i found it looked best, but i wasnt sure if interpolate would work best in this situation ? Appreciate any help.

Also what is the best file format to render out of vegas if i want no loass of quality at all in HDV ? Previously with DV footage i have used uncompressed AVI but when i tried that on HDV it didnt seem to look right.. Is there an intermediate format for HDV so i can switch to AE or other programs ?

I have the exact same question about footage from the same camera.

Should deinterlace before you apply effect (color correction, slow motion etc) or after?

i would deinterlace first, then do your cc.

don't know whether blend or interpolate is best in your situation as i use Mike Crash's deinterlace plug-in so i set project field interpretation to none.

set your de-interlace mode to interpolate. make sure you render out progressive.
