I've edited/rendered and made some DVD's with VMS and Pro 9 without problems. The last edited and rendered movie has a lot of stripes around moving persons in the whole movie. I'm shooting 1440/50i(16:9 PAL) and renders these down to 720*576 widescreeen (PAL).

Tried to render to some other formats, but still these stipes. As i said, no problems earlier. The software is the same(9.0c). Anyone who knows what I have forgotten here?

looks like you didn't de-interlace your footage. in video properties, set the de-interlace mode to interpolate. when you render out your video, make sure your rendering it out progressive (25P). what you currently have would look fine on a TV - when viewed on a computer, the interlacing is visible.

Hi Leif

Your source footage is 1080i so it's interlaced with the Upper Field first... you need to make a PAL DVD I presume (720x576 widescreen) which is interlaced LOWER field first!!

As already said, use the 1080 50i Project template and set your de-interlacing to interpolate and also set the rendering in projects to best.

Edit your footage and then render out using the DVD PAL Widescreen template which will take the already de-interlaced footage and render it with lower field first. (If you need web video then go into Custom in the render window and change the size to 1280x720, the field order to progressive, frame rate to 30 and the aspect to square pixels)

Thanks for the help so far. I'll try to render with the suggestions I've got here and finish one DVD for viewing on a TV.
