Don't know if this is of any use but... http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/digital-compositing-effects/468507-short-stabilization-demo.html Vasco Dones December 16th, 2009, 07:40 PM Hi John, I use ProDad's Mercalli: proDAD - Mercalli -- Video Stabilizer (http://www.prodad.de/gb/mercalli_std_details.html) Best Vasco John Cash December 18th, 2009, 01:07 PM Thanks I was thinking of buying that. Just wanted to see what others are using Rich Perry January 12th, 2010, 10:41 AM proDAD - Mercalli -- Video Stabilizer works great - John Stakes January 12th, 2010, 11:47 AM If you're using CS3, why not After Effects? Unless it's out of your price range. You get a lot more. JS EDIT: My apologies, I see it IS in fact out of your price range. John Cash January 29th, 2010, 01:29 PM I do have the full CS3 suite with after effects but I havent learned the process in AF, have read about it and thats why Im looking for 3rd party software Mike McCarthy February 1st, 2010, 06:59 PM Just learn how to use the After Effects one. It gives you more control ,and you already own it. It should be suitable for 90% of the stabilizaion tasks that you will encounter. Alan Craven February 2nd, 2010, 03:18 AM proDAD - Mercalli -- Video Stabilizer works great - Also for me. Since this appeared on the market, several others, e.g. SteadyMove, have been abandoned by their publishers. They have either been dropped altogether, or have not been updated for later versions of Premiere. David Dwyer February 2nd, 2010, 05:23 AM Just learn how to use the After Effects one. David Dwyer February 9th, 2010, 05:21 AM Does Premiere Pro CS4 have a video stabilizer? As far as I know no but you can use 3rd party ones in PP Bo Skelmose December 12th, 2010, 05:13 AM Just bought the Mercalli plug in and I am very happy with it. The text on the sliders is not always easy to understand but it works so simple and fast that I must say that I love it. I record in 1280x720 50P with a 1/100 shutter. That means that there are not much motion blur when the camera shakes. I use the camera on a tripod but a little shake from my hand or the wind is very well compensated. Mercalli seems to do a good job and you do not have to do a lot of work to make it work. Most times you can just add it, let it analyse the clip and the frame is stabilized Kevin Monahan December 12th, 2010, 11:21 AM Hi All, For more info on tracking and stabilization, see this awesome page of resources (http://bit.ly/eX6hBv) from Adobe After Effects Help. Not only is there info on how to stabilize footage, but there are heaps of links to tutorials and articles on this page, as well. |
