As I use my HMC-150, I am quickly agreeing with other people that the LCD screen is not very good.

Can anyone recommend some good affordable on-camera monitors for the HMC-150?

This one did not look bad:

ProAm 7" On-Camera / Crane LCD Monitor Kit|Camera Cranes / Jibs|BC Media, Inc. (http://www.bargain-camera.com/store/product.php?productid=16254&cat=275&page=1&gclid=CNbIqMm-kJ8CFRh15QodZWM20w)

Any advice would be appreciated. I am looking to spend maybe 500 bucks tops!

Thanks,

Simon

My own experience with low buck monitors has not been good. Have had two fall apart on me (one while shooting an assignment) before I learned my lesson.
You may quickly find that the monitor you have a link to is not as good as the built-in LCD.

Really, you should look at the new Marshall 7" with HDMI input. Yeah its twice your budget, but really represents a much better value in the long run.
Believe me, having a cheap monitor fail while on the job ain't much fun. Save and invest in something more substantial....like the Marshall. You will be glad you did.

Yeah, that is what I thought.

I like the smallhd dp1 but that is 990 bucks for the bundle.

Maybe I will just save my money and wait for a better one like the dp1.

Thanks,

Simon
