I was flown from Hawaii to shoot this awesome couple's wedding. I arrived 2 days earlier in order to get proper sleep (cause I'm always up late the night before, ugh) and attend the rehearsal. We were able to get some pre-wedding day footage the day before.
This wedding was shot with 3 Canon 7Ds, edited on an OLD 2.2ghz non unibody macbook pro, and transcoded to prores LT in FCP7 with Snow Leopard. It was shot with only TWO cinematographers throughout the entire day. We had perfect coverage and a third person was not neccessary. I use to think it was impossible to cover a wedding properly when StillMotion would say they would shoot with only 2 people, but after this wedding I can say it is not a problem with only 2 cinematographers who communicate with each other.
James Pizarro, from my east coast based sister studio redBicycleMedia.com, flew out to help me as the 2nd shooter. All the steadicam work was on my steadicam pilot.
Funny story, I was actually done very early with this SDE due to proper planning so I was able to shoot the whole reception. We showed it later than planned though due to an equipment malfunction. Lesson learned, bring your own projector and cables :).
Any questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks,
Randy
