I added the script to bring the timecode into my timeline, but it seems to have drifted by almost 10 seconds ahead of the raw video TC....any ideas what happened there?

edit-
I went the media FX route instead of scripting, now the TC is perfect, but the FX only applies to half the clips. the other clips have a weird light blue bar under them in the media bin.

edit again-

never mind, for some reason it wouldn't let me select all clips and add the time code effect to every clip at once. so I had to go through one at a time.....but I got it done.

There's a script that will add the timecode to all media in the media bin. There's another that will remove it.

isn't that under tools, scripts, add timecode?

thats what I tried first, and the time code drifted 10 seconds towards the end of the hour long video.

Yes, it adds the effect to the media in the project media tab.

Ian, there's something seriously wrong here.
The difference between drop frame and no-drop frame is only 108 frames per hour and that's not even close to your error.
Where do you have the TC applied and does it match your project settings?
