I have been shooting family video for many years now, first in Denmark where I'm from and now in USA. I would like to move all my tapes to a HD or DVD's, so I can get to them easier.

Is it worth trying to convert it all myself? I don't have oceans of tape, maybe 50-75.
My problem is also, that it's different formats, PAL and NTSC on 8mm Hi-8, miniDV, VHS tapes in both PAL and NTSC.

Any recommendations on places that will convert your tapes, either online or in Los Angeles.
