we want to mount a stationary camera off our balcony that will give a good quality steady shot of our church services. any suggestions. im not talking about just mounting a standard camcorder up there. surely there are specialized cams for this. also want to be able to have the ability to run cable from it audio/video to another room into a projecter for the overflow of people.
hd isnt critical. just a good sd cam thats good in low/medium light.
any that have cams in their church welcome input.

You can do a search for PTZ cameras on BH Photo's site. Basically what you're looking for is a PanTiltZoom camera. You can mount them upside down too if you want, and they'll flip the image for you. Most models send composite or S-video. You can also buy remote control for them.

Here are a couple of examples.

Sony | EVI-D100 1/4" PTZ Camera Kit | EVID100/PAC3 | B&H

Canon | VB-C60 Wide Angle PTZ Network Camera | 2812B015 | B&H
