how do i expand the filters/effects in the effects window? when i clik on 2d/3d effects or filters, nothing happens. i seem to remember someone telling what to do to see all the effects and filters

what effects view are you in? maybe you are in the wrong view, in which case the effects palette may not be stretched wide enough

Click on the plus ...to open ..then hold cursor over the word and a demo of the wipe will occur...dragging the word to the transition position then going back to information and clicking on the type of transition will open the dialogue box so you can persue choices other than the default.
