Just shot this new music video with a girl who closely resembles Angelina Jolie playing a vampire.

YouTube - Dave Wallace "Broken" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6Yg_rlgygg)

Got a great location - an old abandoned building right in downtown Christchurch. Bird shi* everywhere.

Made a grand piano for the shoot - took parts from an old upright. Put rubber bands on the keys so they actually worked. The piano was very light to carry.

Edited and color graded in Final Cut Pro.

Damn, that woman is smokin'. Is she a Kiwi?
Nice video! What lenses/frame rate did you shoot that in?

Thanks Dennis.

Yes she is a kiwi - via Russia!

Shot it with the 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8 and a 18-35mm zoom.

Performance at 25p and story at 50p.

Unbelievable, Logan! This footage is amazing (and the girl as well).

Was it shot handheld or did you use some kind of stabilisation?

I'm still in doubt upgrading to a 35mm adapter or going HDSLR... seeing this kind of footage: think I'm going HDSLR. But obviously, you're a gifted DP as well...

It's a combination of handheld, dolly and tripod Michiel.

Most of the performance on the piano is handheld and most of the story is on the tripod.

I'd highly recommend going the DSLR way.

Thanks for the comments!
