Hello,
i am a wedding videographer and i am using the ex1r with avid media composer for editing.
As everyone i have problems with the strobes of the flashes.
If i select all the clips in the drive and then detect and correct, the program is saving in a drive that i have select before.
There is saving all the files that i have choose before, or only the corrected?
And there is an option for MXF Convertion. This is converting the video to MXF and the audio to what?
Is it possible to have Detect and Correct and then Convert to MXF, so i will be able to import the mxf files directly into avid?
Thanks

Giannis,
The audio is not converted to anything, neither is the video for that matter.
MXF is a container just as MP4 is. The actual video within is mpeg 2 and remains as such. Think of it as moving your clothes from a Samsonite suitcase to a Louis Vuitton one. Do your clothes change in the process?
As for the flashband thing I can't be of much help. I've only played around with it once and didn't like the results. However I don't think you can do it in one pass from detection to correction to mxf.
It's my understanding that the newer Avids work with EX files natively.
