I have heard that the Sony flash camcorders do not play well with Macintosh computers. E.g. there are difficulties in loading recorded information into Final Cut. Is this true? Or is there a work flow to get these data in?

Not really a Sony problem, but one issue is that the Log & Transfer utility in FCP needs the full directory structure from the memory card. Make sure to keep the folders & files intact, or you will run into importing problems when using FCP.

ClipWrap is a good solution if you've lost the directory structure, it will read plain old .mts files and re-wrap into an FCP .mov file.

There's also trying to to re-create the directory structure by copying the .mts files back onto the card and letting the camcorder re-create the directory structure, I've been mildly successful at making that work.

Be sure to download the Sony plug-in to your FCP before using your flash recorders, cards etc.
I am using a Z7u with the MRC1 flash card and also the CX550V and in FCP 7 I just capture all
the footage thru the log and transfer with no problem.
